A Community of Image-Makers

The inaugural TRIBE gathering, an initiative by the Professional Photographers Association (Singapore), took place at the lovely Another Department Studio, bringing together photographers and image-makers from different backgrounds.

My friend and fellow PPAS colleague, Geoff Ang, hosted the evening and shared some of his work, experiences and creative process. It was a lovely opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet new ones and enjoy conversations about photography beyond our usual assignments and routines.

Photography can sometimes be a rather solitary pursuit, and it's easy to become absorbed in our own work. Even after years in the industry, I find there's always something interesting to learn from the experiences and perspectives of others.

TRIBE was created to encourage more of these exchanges, with regular gatherings at different studios and creative spaces. I'm glad to be part of a community that continues to make room for such conversations.
